SÜDPACK wins EFTA-Benelux Flexo Awards

This year SÜDPACK has continued its series of award wins. After the Lean & Green Award, two German Packaging Awards, and places in the innovation and sustainability rankings of the economic journal WirtschaftsWoche, the company has now added two further important accolades to its list.

The EFTA Awards are awarded annually for outstanding solutions in flexo printing. A jury consisting of members with technical expertise, private label owners, and marketing experts judges the print images submitted anonymously in various categories. The two SÜDPACK solutions impressed the experts in particular with the overall accomplished workmanship manifested in consistent pressure points, excellent color gradients, beautiful pastel colors in the design and last but not least clearly visible details.

Sales Manager Henk Edzes and Jan Jitse Dalmolen, Manager PrePress at SÜDPACK Grootegast, attended the presentation event in the Antwerp Hilton Hotel on November 9, where they were delighted to receive the two prizes. “This success is an impressive confirmation that we belong to the best in the business,” said Henk Edzes.

The facility in Grootegast dates from 1907 and was acquired by SÜDPACK in 2021. Today, SÜDPACK Grootegast is a Competence Center for High Performance Laminates.  Its core competencies most notably include the development and production of printed and unprinted duplex and triplex laminated composites for packaging. Used in sophisticated applications, these solutions provide maximum product protection and a prolonged shelf life. SÜDPACK Grootegast supplies predominantly the packaging industry for foods, pharmaceuticals, and technical products. Its customer portfolio includes globally leading brands.

Now SÜDPACK Grootegast has its sights on the next challenge: The international FTA Europe Diamond Awards, which will be presented during the DRUPA on May 30, 2024 in Düsseldorf. “We will certainly enter and do our best to win. Considering our top expertise and state-of-the-art machinery, we feel pretty confident, and of course we’re highly motivated,” explains Jan Jitse Dalmolen.
